16U TIER 2 ASSISTANT COACH
Karter Kovar
Originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Karter got his start playing for the Cedar Rapids Roughriders development program. After Karter's family relocated to Park City, Karter played up and was part of the PC Ice Miners team that won the 2016 U16 State Championship, led by his current coaching partner, Mike Adamek. He played two years of varsity hockey as a middle schooler before moving to play at the AAA/Tier 1 level. Teams included the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals (T1EHL), Colorado Springs Tigers (NAPHL) and the Sioux Falls Power Hockey (NAPHL).
Recently recovered from a knee injury, Karter is now focused on developing the next generation of players. He aims to be a positive role model and preaches the value of being the hardest worker on (and off) the ice and preparing for games physically and mentally. Karter is excited for the upcoming season and can’t wait to get started.
Karter was assistant coach for the 16U Tier 2 team during the 2020-2021 season.
