6U – Ages 6 and Under

  • Registration opens in August
  • Season length: Mid-October through Mid-March
  • Ice-time:
    • Practices*
      • 15 hours of practice ice.
      • Most practices will follow the USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM)
      • 2 practices per month will be skills/power skating/goalie focused run by the specialty coaches.
    • Jamborees* (cross-ice games with other organizations)
      • Approximately 2-3 per season

*Ice hours are tracked for each team by the PCIM Ice Scheduler.   Ice is managed so that each team reaches their allotted hours in the charter for practice ice and games by the end of the season.   Although we try to keep the weekly schedule as consistent as possible, team ice times can vary week to week due to games, tournaments and other events at the ice rink.   Ice time is purchased throughout the season and is updated in the schedule.  See page 4 of this Charter to learn how to access your team’s schedule.

  • Coaching/Team Manager
    • Head Coach:  Matt Genther
    • Assistant coaches: TBA - volunteer parents
    • Manager: TBA – volunteer parent(s).  If you are interested in being the team manager, please contact the Director of Hockey or Yvette Connely.  
  • Fees
    • Season fee per player: Approximately $400.00
    • Coaching fees, ice-time, jamboree fees, 1 reversible practice/game jersey, 1 pair of reversible nylon socks and management costs are included in the season fee.
    • Travel costs such as gas, lodging, meals, etc., are not included in the season fee.
    • Uniforms: Each player will receive 1 reversible practice/game jersey and 1 pair of reversible nylon socks as part of their player fees.   An additional practice jersey ($25) or cotton socks ($10) can be purchased separately.
    • Team equipment bags will be offered for sale 3 times during the year (July, September, and October).  These bags are optional.  Cost: Junior ($75), Player ($80), Goalie ($90).  An announcement will go out when the website opens. 

8U – Ages 7 & 8
