14U - UYHL Division 2 (Beginner to Intermediate)

  • Registration opens in August
  • Season length: Mid-October through the UYHL season-end tournament in March
  • Ice-time:
    • Practices*
      • 20 hours of practice.
      • 2 practices per month will be skills/power skating/goalie focused run by the specialty coaches.
    • Games*
      • The number of games are determined by the number of D2 teams in the state of Utah.
        • Approximately 1 home and 1 away game with other URL teams in the same division
        • UYHL Tournament (3+ games)

*Ice hours are tracked for each team by the PCIM Ice Scheduler.   Ice is managed so that each team reaches their allotted hours in the charter for practice ice and games by the end of the season.   Although we try to keep the weekly schedule as consistent as possible, team ice times can vary week to week due to games, tournaments and other events at the ice rink.   Ice time is purchased throughout the season and is updated in the schedule.  See page 4 of this Charter to learn how to access your team’s schedule.

  • Coaching/Team Manager
    • Head Coach: TBA
    • Assistant coaches: TBA - volunteer parents
    • Manager: TBA – volunteer parent(s).  If you are interested in being the team manager, please contact the Director of Hockey or Yvette Connely. 
  • Fees
    • Season fee per player: Approximately $750.00
    • Coaching fees, ice-time, tournament/game fees, 1 practice jersey, 1 pair of cotton socks, and management costs are included in the season fee.
    • Travel costs, such as gas, lodging, meals, etc., are not included in the season fee.
    • Uniforms: Each player will receive 1 practice jersey and 1 pair of cotton socks as part of their player fees.   A reversible game jersey ($80), reversible nylon game socks ($30), and/or embroidered team jacket ($65) can be purchased separately.
    • Team equipment bags will be offered for sale 3 times during the year (July, September, and October).  These bags are optional.  Cost: Junior ($75), Player ($80), Goalie ($90).  An announcement will go out when the website opens. 

14U - UTL (Intermediate)

  • There are no official tryouts for 14U Travel. But, 14U Travel players will be evaluated by coaches from the player pool of 14U Tier 2 tryouts and the recreation league sign-ups.  14U Tier 2 tryouts are held in June.
  • Season length: October through March
  • Pre-season:  September
  • Ice-time:
    • Practices*
      • 60 hours of practice.
      • 2 practices per month will be skills/power skating/goalie focused run by the specialty coaches.
      • Off-ice training is not included in the team fees this season.  Off-ice training programs will be offered by Wasatch Sports Factory in Park City.  Information will be provided at a later date.
    • Games*
      • Approximately 30 games
        • Approximately 12 in-state exhibition games
        • Approximately 6 tournaments (18+ games); many tournaments will be held out-of-state.

    • 15+ skaters; 2 goalies
  • Fees
    • Season fee per player: Approximately $2,900.00
    • Coaching fees, ice-time, tournament/game fees, 1 practice jersey, 1 pair of cotton socks and management costs are included in the season fee.
    • Travel costs: gas, airfare, lodging, meals, etc., are not included in the season fee.
    • Team uniforms are required for all players.  Items that are required that are NOT included in the season fee:  game jersey ($75 per jersey), nylon socks ($30 per color pair), embroidered team jacket ($65).  Team warm-up pants ($40), work-out shirt ($25) and shorts ($20) are optional for purchase.
    • Uniform orders will be taken at tryouts.  If the player has the required uniform items from the previous season and they still fit, they will not need to order that item.  If chosen for the team, uniforms will be ordered once the deposit is paid to hold the player’s position on the team and the uniform items ordered are paid for.
    • Team equipment bags will be offered for sale 3 times during the year (July, September, and October).  These bags are optional.  Cost: Junior ($75), Player ($80), Goalie ($90).  An announcement will go out when the website opens.
    • $500 deposit is required within 48 hours of being selected to hold a position on the team. 

14U - Tier 2 (Advanced)

  • Tryouts are held in June
  • Season length: September through the end of the state playoffs (and the USA Hockey Youth Nationals if applicable)
  • Ice-time:
    • Practices*
      • 66 hours of practice.
      • 2 practices per month will be skills/power skating/goalie focused run by the specialty coaches.
      • Off-ice training is not included in the team fees this season.  Off-ice training programs will be offered by Wasatch Sports Factory in Park City.  Information will be provided at a later date.
    • Games*
      • 36+ games
      • 6 tournaments (included in game total); mostly out-of-state tournaments

    • Season fee per player: Approximately $3700.00
    • Coaching fees, ice-time, tournament/game fees, 1 practice jersey, 1 pair of cotton socks, team workout shirt and short set and management costs are included in the season fee.
    • Travel costs: gas, airfare, lodging, meals, etc., are not included in the season fee. Note: if the team qualifies for the USA Hockey Youth Nationals, there will be additional travel fees.
