Also featured in the Park Record

Congratulations to former Park City Ice Miners athletes, Madi Brent, Morgan Carter, Eliot Glusker, and Tiana McIntyre on making the USAH Girls National Development Camp this year!

This is the first time Utah has had four girls qualify in the same year—all from Park City! Tiana and Morgan will participate in the USAH National Girls 16/17 Player Development Camp in St. Cloud, Minnesota this week while Madi and Eliot will head to St.Cloud in July for the USAH National Girls 15 Player Development Camp.

Tiana is no stranger to National Camp, as she was also selected in 2019. She has played the last two years with Pittsburg Pens Elite U16 and is committed to the same program this season for their U18 team. Following her senior year she will play D1 hockey for Quinnipiac University in Connecticut.

Eliot held a starting position for the Utah Lady Grizzlies U19 Tier II team this past season, a team which brought home the bronze from US Nationals just a few months ago. She will join the Pittsburg Pens Elite U16 team this fall.

After playing seven years as a goalie, Morgan has spent the last three years becoming an offensive force. She played on Team Colorado’s U16 Tier 1 Team this past year, as well as the Park City Miners High School D2 Team. Morgan will join the St. Louis Blues U16 Tier 1 for the 2021-2022 season.

Madi had a full season this last year starting for the Utah Lady Grizzlies U19 Tier II, the Park City Miners High School D2, and the Park City Ice Miners U14 Travel Team. She is excited to join Morgan on the St. Louis U16 Tier 1 Team this fall.

Congratulations to these young skaters on their National Camp achievement. We wish you all the best of luck!

ANNOUNCING OUR NEW DIRECTOR OF PLAYER DEVELOPMENT, JACK SKILLE
The Park City Ice Miners (PCIM) board of directors is excited to announce the selection of Jack Skille as its new Director of Player Development. In this role, Coach Skille will help shape the player development strategy with the goal to cultivate highly skilled players and to provide them with the best hockey foundation and experience. He will be working with all Ice Miners teams during weekly practice sessions. In addition, Coach Skille will co-lead this season’s 14U AA team with Coach Tom Anderson.

Coach Skille joins the Ice Miners after an extensive professional hockey career, most recently playing for EC Red Bull Salzburg in the ICEHL league. He has previously played in the NHL for the Chicago Blackhawks, Florida Panthers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Colorado Avalanche, and the Vancouver Canucks. Coach Skille has competed in 700 professional games, not including playoffs, in his 14 seasons of professional hockey.

Originally from Madison, WI, in 2005 Coach Skille won the Gold Medal with the US NTDP U-18 World Championship team. After his senior year, he was selected 7th over-all by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. During his freshman year of college, Coach Skille was part of the 2006 University of Wisconsin Men’s National Championship team. In 2010 he was an injured reserve player for the Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup Championship team and received a ring from the organization.

Mike Adamek, PCIM Director of Hockey Operations, stated “I’m very excited about Jack’s experience, intensity, and intention to become the best coach he can be. I can’t wait for our players, parents, and coaches to work with him.”

Coach Skille made Park City his off-season home a few years ago and has been active in the local hockey scene. He has co-hosted youth clinics and hockey programs in Park City and coached the PCIM 12U D1 team for part of the 2019-2020 season. He is also owner of Jack Skille Hockey Academy and co-host of The Jack Skille Show podcast.

Please join us, in congratulating Coach Skille on a tremendous professional career and welcoming him to our organization. We look forward to a fantastic season with him and our entire coaching team.
