If your player has an exposure or tests positive, please follow the steps below and send your manager the information requested. Please refrain from PCIM activities until you receive a communication from the PCIM COVID Committee.
The steps outlined for Players below also apply to Managers, Coaches, Volunteers, and other adults supporting the program.
To ensure the fastest response to any/all COVID inquiries, please contact the COVID Committee by email at covid@pciceminers.org. The first available committee member will respond.
... if Player TESTS POSITIVE for COVID-19:
Player should isolate right away, even if they were fully vaccinated/boosted within last 6 months.

Contact your local/home health department
Perform contact tracing and contact any PCIM community member that may have been exposed by player, including coaches, players/players families, team volunteers. Please contact team manager if you need assistance.

Collect information and remind parent/guardian of expected next steps (share link to this page or copy/paste content from left)

Keep test information as private as possible
If player was at a practice or game within 48 hours of the positive test date,send a courtesy notification to your team and team managers/coaches of other team(s) present. If player was at a tournament, send notification to tournament coordinator.

Evaluate surrounding circumstances to determine if there should be a pause in play for team and/or if other courses of action should be taken
... if Player has a HOUSEHOLD EXPOSURE*:
Players who were fully vaccinated/boosted or
who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 90 days do not need to quarantine.

b) the date player was last in contact with the household member
c) confirm if player was fully vaccinated/boosted within the last 6 months or had COVID-19 in the last 90 days

Player may not attend PCIM events if under quarantine, including school quarantine.

*What is an exposure? Anyone who is not fully vaccinated and came into close contact with you within the 2 days before symptoms started or player had a positive test.
