The Park City Ice Miners are thrilled to welcome AJ DeHerrera to the organization. Coach DeHerrera will join Coach Ryan Flink on our 14U Tier II team for the 2024-2025 season. Below you will find Coach DeHerrera's bio: 

AJ was born and raised in West Jordan UT and began playing hockey at four years old and continued to play at the AA/AAA levels. Unfortunately, AJ suffered career-ending injuries during his
senior year of high school and was forced to retire. After high school, AJ enlisted in the US Army and attended Colorado State University. After moving back to Utah, AJ decided to take on coaching to create a strong system for player development and keeps player safety and fun as his top priorities. AJ recognizes the impact the sport of hockey can have on players' lives and the great life lessons that come along with it.

AJ started his coaching career as a private power skating and skills coach. From there, he joined the Alta High School coaching staff where he remained for three and a half years before joining the Park City Ice Miners.
