The Park City Ice Miners are happy to welcome Matt Hoppe to the organization. Coach Hoppe joins us for the 2025-2026 season as the head coach for the 16U Travel A team. A Michigan native, Matt Hoppe brings a wealth of experience to the Park City Ice Miners from a distinguished career as a high school, collegiate, and professional player. After playing for the Notre Dame Hounds in Canada and Shattuck St. Mary’s, one of the world’s premier hockey development programs, Matt spent two seasons in the USHL before excelling at the University of New Hampshire (UNH), including two Frozen Four appearances. He later played professionally with the Tulsa Oilers, an affiliate of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks.
Matt’s 20-year post-playing career in hockey includes developing talent recognition & learn to play programs for Bauer and STX, as well as co-creating the 68’s program (now the CCM 68), a premier U14 showcase. His deep industry relationships with USA Hockey, the NHL, and the NCAA uniquely position him as a leader in player development.
A resident of Park City since 2019, Matt is thrilled to share his expertise with the Ice Miners organization. As head coach of the 16U A team, he is committed to helping players excel and prepare for success in high school and beyond!
